Dr Tarun Yadav is currently Staff Specialist at the Drug and Alcohol Services in Newcastle as well as working in his private practice.
He is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of psychiatrists, teaching previously at the University of Queensland and currently at the University of Newcastle. He has been involved in teaching for over 10 years, having won an award for teaching in the Hunter New England Training in Psychiatry (HNET) network. He is also a RANZCP psychiatry training supervisor and examiner for Fellowship exams.
He specialises in addiction having participated in extensive training and also facilitated numerous training courses and workshops in this field.
Dr Yadav is an experienced Independent Medical Examiner, currently approved to undertake assessment for workers’ compensation cases in both New South Wales and Victoria. He is also an assessor for Impaired Registrant Program at AHPRA.
