Dr Aaron Musker is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience across acute, community, and addiction psychiatry settings. He is currently completing an Advanced Training Certificate in Addiction Psychiatry and has additional training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).
Dr Musker’s clinical and medico-legal interests sit at the intersection of mental health, substance use, and acute care. He brings a structured, evidence-based approach to the assessment of complex presentations, with particular experience in dual diagnosis, risk assessment, functional impairment, and longitudinal treatment planning.
He currently works as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Addiction Psychiatry within the public health system in Northern New South Wales and also provides psychiatric services in private practice.
Prior to specialising in psychiatry, Dr Musker trained and worked across a range of hospital specialties in the United Kingdom, attaining Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM). He also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Paediatric Emergency Medicine (Distinction) through Manchester Metropolitan University. This background informs his practical, systems-focused approach to assessment, particularly in high-pressure and multidisciplinary environments.
Outside of clinical work, Dr Musker values family life, physical fitness, and maintains interests in football and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
